International Chiropractors Association
The International Chiropractors Association is the oldest continually functioning international chiropractic organization in the world. Established in 1926 by B.J. Palmer, the ICA represents thousands of practitioners, educators, students and lay persons dedicated to the chiropractic profession. The ICA brings together professionals with common goals and backgrounds and provides them with benefits and services to enhance their personal growth and professional development. It also represents and promotes the interests of chiropractors and the patients they serve through advocacy, research and education.
The Massachusetts Chiropractic Society is a professional service organization representing between 70 and 80 percent of the doctors of chiropractic in the state of Massachusetts. The Board of Directors is comprised of six elected officers, nine directors, and the immediate past president. An Executive Secretary and professional staff manage the daily affairs of the Society, provide guidance and support for state programs, and coordinate the activities of the Society’s professional consultants and advisors. The Society’s membership is organized regionally into local societies. Local Society Presidents constitute an important advisory council and attend all state Board of Directors meetings.
